BESTFACT 1st international cluster workshop "Eco-efficient Solutions in Freight Transport Chains" (21st and 22nd of June 2012) hosted by ABN-AMRO HQ in Amsterdam, and the Port Authority of Amsterdam. The workshop was co-organised by Phil Mortimer and Maciej Tumasz of NewRail and attended by 60 international delegates.

UPDATE! Consortium Meeting and GAP analysis workshop - June 13th & 14th

UPDATE (06/06/2012):

The forecast for Budapest is circa 27 deg C - Marble Hall is unlikely to have air conditioning. Suit jackets and ties are not compulsary. Feel free to wear light clothing. 

Please be aware that there is no internet access at the venue. This will clearly affect all those attending who will not be able to use smart phones, tablets or laptops but more importantly those that are required to deliver presentations. The  second SPECTRUM project full consortium meeting is scheduled to take place on June 13th at Marble Hall of the Szechenyi Baths, in the city of Budapest, Hungary. All project partners, including the advisory board, are invited to the event.

The event will commence at 09:30 hrs CET.

On June 14th a GAP analysis workshop will also take place at the same venue and form task 2.3 of the SPECTRUM project.

SPECTRUM Members visit Faiveley Transport Facility

FaiveleyWebPicSPECTRUM project members and NewRail employees Ross Jackson and Emmanuel Matsika made a visit to the Faiveley Transport facility in Amiens, France recently.

Faiveley Transport is an important SPECTRUM project partner and involved heavily in the design and demonstrator elements of the project.

NewRail members Ross and Emmanuel were warmly greeted by Faiveley representatives Setha Net and Gilles Boisseau who will bring invaluable expertise in freight wagon braking and electrical systems.
